Since 2007 Denny Moe’s Superstar Barbershop has hosted its Annual Back to School Drive as a way to give back to the community and help neighborhood children along with their education -especially those whose parents struggle to afford school supplies.
Each year Denny Moe offers free school supplies purchased with his own money to provide book bags packed with loose leaf paper, spiral notebooks, binders, crayons, erasers, pencils and pens to help the kids start of the school year. The book bags are distributed to young boys and girls who visit the barbershop. In addition to free school supplies, the barbershop also provides free haircuts so that the students are not only prepared for the year ahead, but can start the school year looking their best.
The haircuts are either sponsored through local supporters or paid for by Denny Moe himself. This event serves 100 kids each year.
